Application documents instruction
1. Statement of Purpose. Your statement of purpose is a 1-2 page, single spaced essay that should include:
- Intention and motivation toward the Food and Nutrition summer REU program
- Research interests and selection of either bench nutrition research track or clinical/community nutrition research track with a rationale for your selection
- Research and/or professional experience or qualifications
- Career goals after college
2. Current resume or curriculum vitae. If applicable, please include:
- Education
- Work experience
- Research experience
- A list of national or international conference presentations, and published papers
3. Recommendation Letters. Two (2) letters of recommendation from faculty or other health professionals capable of judging your ability to conduct research work or participate in research training.
4. Transcripts. You may provide unofficial transcripts from all academic institutions.
