Please complete the online application at <a href=\"https:\/\/live-ua-graduate.pantheonsite.io\/academics\/summer-research-programs-for-undergraduate-students\/\">https:\/\/live-ua-graduate.pantheonsite.io\/academics\/summer-research-programs-for-undergraduate-students\/<\/a> on the UA Graduate School website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application documents instruction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">1.&nbsp;Statement of Purpose. Your statement of purpose is a 1-2 page, single spaced essay that should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Intention and motivation toward the Food and Nutrition summer REU program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Research interests and selection of either bench nutrition research track or clinical\/community nutrition research track with a rationale for your selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Research and\/or professional experience or qualifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Career goals after college<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">2.&nbsp;Current resume or curriculum vitae.&nbsp;If applicable, please include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Work experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Research experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-normal-font-size\">A list of national or international conference presentations,&nbsp;and published papers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">3.&nbsp;Recommendation Letters.&nbsp;Two (2) letters of recommendation from faculty or other health professionals capable of judging your ability to conduct research work or participate in research training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">4.&nbsp;Transcripts.&nbsp;You may provide unofficial transcripts from all academic institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to apply The application will open in fall 2026 for the summer 2027 cohort.
